Liverpool must finish in the top four, says Skrtel

Liverpool s Martin Skrtel has warned his team-mates that anything less than UEFA Champions League qualification will be unacceptable.

Ahead of Liverpool s 13th match of the Premier League campaign, Rodgers team sit second and could move within four points of leaders Arsenal if they overcome Hull on Sunday.

Liverpool have not played in the Champions League since the 2009/10 season and with the likes of Luis Suarez at the club, Skrtel believes they cannot afford to miss out on Europe s top continental competition again.

Russian Premier League Wrap: Pressure mounts on Zenit, Anzhi salvage draw

Zenit began life without Luciano Spalletti in a 1-0 defeat at CSKA Moscow while Anzhi s unlikely bid for survival gathered pace.

The club were unable to improve their form as interim head coach Sergei Semak took charge on Saturday.

Former Chelsea and Tottenham coach Andre Villas-Boas has been tipped to take over at Zenit soon, but that may come too late to secure another title if their poor form continues.

CSKA Moscow, who sit fifth, won on Saturday thanks to a first-half …
