Loew salutes Germany supporters

Joachim Loew feels his Germany side have built a key understanding with their fans ahead of the 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign.

A 3-1 friendly loss to Argentina in Frankfurt was somewhat surprisingly greeted with applause by the watching spectators, leading the Germany coach to believe a bond has formed between players and fans.

We have players who can continue to develop and (we can) use in the next two years, Loew told Kicker.

The relationship between the audience and the crew is absolutely intact and the fans recognise achievements in the last few years are sustainable.

When asked of his own pressure to succeed, Loew said: We need to contest qualification (to the World Cup) successfully, and then one will certainly talks about how to proceed further.

Germany reached the semi-finals of the 2010 FIFA World Cup and Euro 2012, with Loew and his player determined to go one better at the next World Cup in Brazil.
